Peace of Land is a virtual reality scavenger hunt game inspired by the Land-Back movement, developed by students in the Interactive Multimedia and Design program at Carleton University. Land-Back is a movement spanning many generations that seeks to return land to the stewardship of Indigenous peoples. Players are given a list of plants that they need to find within a rooftop garden. Once an item is found, it will be added to the collection book where the player can learn more about the item and can refer to it for future reference.
The game was made using A-frame (an online framework), HTML, CSS, and Javascript, and playable on PC and VR. I was the concept artist, illustrator, and UI designer for this project.
